While the design is unique, the raised design also provides storage for staunton chess pieces up to 4 1/4″ tall. The chess board pulls off to reveal a felt lined interior with a grid-seperated slat system to hold all of your pieces securely without risk of them rolling around.

The base of this board is made from Wengue, and the top features solid blocks of Wengue and Maple.
