Imported from Europe, The Christmas wood chess set has been handcrafted and hand-finished out of natural and stained hornbeam wood. It’s design is original, with a slender appearance and figurative pedestal bases. In keeping true with it’s European heritage, the King and Queen pieces of the Christmas wood chess set features crowns that are made of the opposing wood type, providing a beautiful color contrast.

The chess board has been designed to provide contrast for the hornbeam wood natural and stained chess pieces and has a lacquered finish. The outline of the chess board features the traditional rank and file labels. Inside the chess board are individual fitted compartments for storing each of the chess pieces when not in use, providing protection.
