The Zagreb ’59 Series Chess set. A tournament-sized Chess set, it features a 3.875″ King with a 1.75″ diameter base. The Chess pieces are heavily weighted with beautiful billiard cloth base pads and a glossy finish to further tone the details. The design of the Zagreb ’59 Chess set is a conformation of the most popular Chess set used at major international Chess tournaments throughout the 1950s and 1960s, most notably the World Championship Candidates Match that was held in Bied, Zagreb in 1959.


The Black wood Superior Traditional Chessboard with 2.25″ Squares features Black wood (dark) and Maple (light) squares with a Mahogany frame. This Chessboard is 0.5″ thick, has a molded edge and a satin finish. The Staunton logo is silk-screened on the h1 square.


The Mahogany Premium Chess Box is lined in green billiard cloth, divided and features brass quadrant hinges and a lock and key. This Chess box comes with the Staunton logo laser engraved on the lid.
