The size of the board used in Go should be determined by skill level. If a player is a beginner it is helpful to use a smaller board which allows the player to understand the game quicker than a full size board. The size of the wooden board in the deluxe Go game is 11.5″ x 11.25″ x 1.5″ with 361 stones (181 black and 180 white), and includes instruction booklet.
