The design of this set is an exact reproduction of the 1970s-era Dubrovnik Chess set, used in the 19th Chess Olympiad in Siegen, West Germany and made popular by the legendary Bobby Fischer. This Chess set lacks many of the ornate features found in many Chess sets and featured sturdier bases and reinforced collars on all of the pieces, creating a set that will withstand years of use and abuse. The Chess pieces are weighted with billiard cloth base pads and a nice-looking finish.
